Choice Hotels Asia-pac Teams Up With The Reach Foundation To Help Young Aussies Thrive

Choice Hotels Asia-Pac has teamed up with the Reach Foundation for an ongoing strategic partnership that will see the leading hotel group and charity come together as part of a major fundraising push to generate much-needed resources for the Reach’s national youth programs.

A highlight of the partnership is an exciting Youth Week fundraising campaign, harnessing the footprint of Choice’s 180 hotels nationally. The Youth Week initiative will see franchisees donate $2 from every overnight booking between 17-24 April 2020 to The Reach Foundation, which will then be matched by a dollar-for-dollar corporate Choice Hotels Asia-Pac donation, effectively doubling total funds raised.

Having begun his career in the hospitality industry as part of an operations team, Choice Hotels Asia-Pac CEO Trent Fraser said it was important that young people were given every opportunity to succeed.

“We believe whole heartedly in the work The Reach Foundation is doing to help young people realise their full potential. Young people are the future of our industry, and we want to contribute to nurturing and supporting them” said Mr Fraser.

The fundraising effort over Youth Week is expected to raise in excess of $50,000-making Choice Hotels Asia-Pac a category ‘Game Changers’ partner for Reach.

As the Reach Foundation’s ‘Accommodation Partner’, Choice Hotels Asia-Pac will also provide complimentary room nights for Reach crew and staff when they deliver workshops in regional hubs around the nation.

Reach CEO, Sasha Lawrence said he was excited to welcome Choice Hotels Asia-Pac on board for the coming year, highlighting the support and resources this partnership adds to their foundation.

“It is with great enthusiasm we welcome Choice Hotels to our partnership board as our official accommodation partner. We see so much potential in working closely together and look forward to the exciting opportunities this will offer the young people who take part in our programs,” said Mr Lawrence.

Funds raised will help Reach train new facilitators through its Crew Training Program. These facilitators will then go on to help more than 35,000 young people each year grow into thriving young adults through participation in Reach workshops.
