Leading hotel franchise group, Choice Hotels Asia-Pac, is thrilled to announce the winners of its highly anticipated Hotel of the Year Awards 2022, shining a light on the top performing hotels across its growing network.
Five franchisees have been selected based on exceeding excellent customer service and amazing guest experiences across each of Choice Hotels Asia-Pac’s five brand categories – Ascend Hotel Collection, Clarion, Quality and Econo Lodge – and celebrated with this prestigious annual award.
The Choice Hotels Asia-Pac Hotel of the Year 2022 winners are:
- Ascend Hotel Collection – The Beachcomber Hotel & Resort, Toukley, NSW
- Clarion – Clarion Suites Gateway, Melbourne, VIC
- Quality – Quality Hotel Wangaratta Gateway, VIC
- Comfort – Comfort Resort Blue Pacific, Mackay, QLD
- Econo Lodge – Econo Lodge Mildura, VIC
Choice Hotels Asia-Pac Chief Executive Officer, Trent Fraser, said he was delighted to be able to recognise hotels within the group who continued to deliver outstanding customer service for their guests.
“These winners were selected from 19 Gold Award winning hotels for 2022, each of which we awarded for providing excellent customer service and achieving the highest LTR (likelihood to recommend) scores from their guests,” said Mr Fraser.
“It’s exciting to celebrate the success of the Choice Hotels Asia-Pac group in 2022 by recognising this achievement within the network.”
The Hotel of the Year Awards are measured on a ‘likelihood to recommend’ metric calculated on direct and verified customer feedback, combined with franchisee engagement in Choice Hotels Asia-Pac programs and initiatives such as the Choice Privileges loyalty program, corporate social responsibility partnerships, and numerous marketing promotions throughout the year. The nominees are judged by a panel from the Choice Hotels Asia-Pac executive team.
These five winning hotels will go into the pool of global properties competing for the Best of Choice Awards, to be announced soon and celebrated at the Choice Hotels International Convention in Las Vegas at the end of April.
Choice Hotels Asia-Pac also announced additional awards of major significance, including:
- GM of the Year – Eric Visscher, Quality Hotel Taylors Lakes, VIC
- Mark Pearce Rising Star Award – Harry Smith, Assistant Manager, Comfort Hotel Adelaide Meridien, SA
- Choice Privileges Hotel of the Year – Econo Lodge Border Gateway Wodonga, VIC
- Best New Hotel of the Year – Quality Apartments Melbourne Central, VIC
